Well, the board is either fixed, or it's going to run terribly. Cross your fingers and hope for the best. I'm at my technical limit right now.

1871 mauser

#1 Post by Shperry » Wed Aug 15, 2018 10:33 am

Purchased this m1871 single shot MAUSER a while ago and I'm looking for a few parts as the bolt was incomplete. I need the bolt head and extractor also the safety catch and spring also the rear barrel band spring. I have looked online for awhile now and no luck. Numeric, ebay, gunbroker and lots of others and nothing. Can find parts for the 71/84 all day but not the 1871 anyone have any ideas? Thanks

Keep looking online. You might want to invest in a parts gun. 1871's are a lot rarer than 71/84's from what I read. Just fixed up a 71/84 and had to make some parts myself. Gave up looking for parts for a Colt revolver made in the 1930's after looking for one year. I wish you the best of luck.

Best Regards,

Mark
