Well, the board is either fixed, or it's going to run terribly. Cross your fingers and hope for the best. I'm at my technical limit right now.

Israeli Mauser bayonet questions.
A year or two ago, I scored an interesting Mauser. It has Colombian crest and began life as 30.06. At some point, it made its way to Israel and became a 7.62 NATO rifle. It has some British proofs and Israeli markings scattered around, as well as some German marked parts. It has a nice bore and shoots pretty good.
I'd like to get a "proper" bayonet to go with it. Please share any pics and/or info you think might be helpful. Maybe I'll dig it out and do some photos once my schedule calms a bit.
Thanks.
Jay

Here are some markings of an Israeli (Ex German) K98 Bayonet
The later Israeli made copies came with the muzzle ring

Israel also used M1924 Mauser Export bayonets and VZ-24 bayonets with their Mausers. There are pics of an Israeli VZ-24 bayonet on the Israel Page of my site.

Re: Israeli Mauser bayonet questions.
Thanks, all, for the info.
I'm looking at a VZ-23 bayonet. Would that be too far out of line?
Nice website, BTW, marysdad.

Re: Israeli Mauser bayonet questions.
Thanks for the kind words regarding my site.
I don’t know. Israel purchased post-War produced rifles from BRNO, so I’m thinking that the bayonets were post-War production as well. BRNO produced Kar 98k rifles and VZ-24 bayonets post-War. You would want to look for Israeli markings.
