I once fired a TC Contender chambered in 45-70. Actually, I fired it twice.....................'cause I'm a slow learner. :o :lol:

I had the experience of firing a Thompson Contender in 358 Winchester, with a hot rifle load.
The world turned orange and the "pistol" was thrown behind my head in recoil; my tight 2-handed grip still retained it with my right hand.

45-70 hand gun is a good self defense gun lol. I saw a guy buy a 500 SW told the dealer I am going ti use it for home defense I guess grizzly bears must be breaking into his house a 500 fired inside a would blow your ear drums out and maybe your windows too lol
