Well, the board is either fixed, or it's going to run terribly. Cross your fingers and hope for the best. I'm at my technical limit right now.

Chinese Mosin t53
This is one lacking import marks was in the U.S. in the 1970s prior to the CAI dump of beat T 53s. Chinese Type 53 Carbines are one of the Model 1944 Carbine clones. We do not have a Chinese section so I put it here. A redo of an old lost SRF post. I just noticed I got both, no import, $150 specials, my 1955 and my 1960 mixed in here. Both are about in the same used condition like you would find back in the 1970s. A high price back in the day when the later 1986-90s, Russian in the wrap, M44s were 50 bucks. Back then you never saw a T53. It has been so long I do not remember which photos are of each rifle. Basically they were the same, used, but excellent bores. Some say bring backs from Nam, but they are in pretty good condition for that stinking jungle.

Re: Chinese Mosin t53
x2 i thought they looked pretty good. Most of the ones I've seen lately are only suitable for garden stakes

Re: Chinese Mosin t53
That's a pretty nice one. Mine has a lot of "character" to it. It is import marked, but I am fairly confident it has been in "the shit" as they say.

Re: Chinese Mosin t53
I always liked the T-53's. I bought 3 of them years ago (2 of them at a discount '2 for" sale and still have them). Thats a nice one,72 usmc. Yours reminds me of my other one that I got from Todd at family firearms.

Nice rifle!
I've often thought of landing a T-53. Fireballs make for shooting fun.

Of all the Mosin's I own, the Type 53's have the smoothest actions.
