Hey Sasquatch1916 , I'd always bring extra ammo either for myself, or to let others have a chance to shoot an M1. On several occasions I did so. It was fun seeing kids who had only used an M1 in Medal of Honor, shooting the real thing. And everyone of them wanted one afterwards. I'd give them the address for the CMP so they could do so. There was one kid, a heck of a shot with his AR 15. He did quit well with the M1..
The only bad time was when I let a kid shoot my Remington Model 1903. he was unfamiliar with the sights, and i was not as clear as i should have been. I Had the rear leaf up for the aperture. he was using the highest notch and missing every round. I am thankful we didn't kill anyone behind the berm...

I couldn't thank the guy enough. Shooting a Garand is something I've wanted to do for a long time. Lots of respect for anyone that introduces people to milsurp shooting.

I'll definitely be doing that too since I started a Rifle and Pistol Club on campus. I've already introduced everyone to the Mauser and the Mosin. I'll be bringing the Garand out on May 5th. A bunch of our guys got motivated to go to the gun show next weekend to pick up Mosins.

When I brought my Mauser to our first club shoot, someone actually broke the extractor because though I did teach everyone how to load from the magazine, I didn't explain to them why they had to do that.

And here's a picture of me from Saturday at a Rifle and Pistol Club shoot. It was the second time I got it out to shoot. We were posing for a group picture, so that's why there's a bayonet.
