Hello,

I have recently purchased a Century Arms CETME. I would like to replace the trigger assembly with a German made one. Is this possible?

Tirgger Assembly: http://www.cheaperthandirt.com/MGR278-1.html

Thanks,

Kalash

Like Burner said (but not in so many words) there are quite a few differences between the HK91 & the Cetme, although outwardly they look similar. the Spanish used the Cetme first, then the Germans improved the design before adopting it for their use. The trigger group is one of those improvements, as is the bolt/carrier group, trunnion, sights, stock buffer, etc.

What you should do is have the trigger group replaced with all US-made custom parts so you can add non-US-made parts (i.e; original wood or plastic stock, bayonet lug, etc.) to keep it 922R legal. Check out militaryfirearmforum.com & look up a guy called turbothis. He makes a sweet, no-creep trigger group setup for the Cetme, as well as other stuff like a full-length optics rail for the receiver, etc. Go there now, I'll wait...
