I don't know a lot about the AK family. I was thinking of getting on from one of the surplus dealers sometime soon. Whats one of the better makes to get with a folding stock on the market? I kind of want to stay away from the WASR if possible. Any help would be great. Thanks.

I've been very happy with my Yugo under-folder. A Polish AKMS under-folder would have been my second choice.

Yugo, no doubt! :thumb:

However, I would look high and low for a good kit (I know some people that are hoarding MINT kits, and want blood for them!), and have a reputable builder build it for me. That's what I did, anyway. I paid a lot, but I have the best of the best built by Red Jacket. But I am a collector, and wanted the "museum quality" Yugos. If you just want to play, CAI is good enough.

My SAR-1 is a teriffic shooter. Paid too much for it around election time 3 yrs ago, but to me well worth it. Cheap ammo and mags, and rugged as a rock.
