What Russian style AK optics are good? Which aren't? Anything you got, used, seen, whatever . . . just curious about what's out there and what's worth having. Cowitness also a fine selling point.

Kalinka definitely has some cool gear. The Belorussian POSP scopes are very clear, rugged, and affordable if you're looking for a telescopic sight and your rifle has a side rail. I've got a 4x and an 8x and both are nice. They're offset from the bore, so there's a bit of physical parallax to contend with, and there seems to be a lot of optical parallax at 100 yards even though Kalinka says the scopes are set for 100m.

I don't know of any cowitnessing, Russian-style red dot sights. Cowitnessing seems to be more a feature of some aftermarket mounts. Ultimak gas tubes and Midwest Industries handguards both cowitness with micro red dot sights. Micro dots also meant to cowitness on the Texas Weapons System dogleg mount. Conversely, the AKM mount by RS Products is meant to cowitness using 30mm red dots.
