As already announced the details of my new P1 Pistol.

It was more difficult than expected to find a German Army Milsurp P1 Pistol because every time I was asking I was told that most of them were shipped to the US. I think your guys have done a great job in supplying you with our (I am German) old stock of P1's. :naughty: But finally I found one with the help of my favourite shop owner here in Luxembourg and the price was reasonable too (200.-- Euro).

The Pistol is in very good shape, has just some very tiny surface scratches on the blueing (blueing is probably not the right word because the surface is quite rough). It has all the acceptance stamps plus some other stampings that I do not recognise. I was actually surprised to find an electro-penciled number on the falling block (I thought only the Russians are doing that). In the contrary to the Pistol, which is quite new, the magazine has seen some "life". It is a true military mag as you can see from the picture but it was already in service when my father was serving in the German army (I wasn't even born at that time). Although I am very happy to have an old mag like that I will have a look around to find a nicer one. :D

congrats. i'm pretty sure your steel parts are parkerized, and the aluminum frame is anodized. As to new, org P1 marked Wather mags, they are fairly cheap over here. with one seller offering them at 12 bucks each shipped. i'm sure it would cost more to luxumborg, but i doun't know if he ships overseas. It'lll probably be cheaper to geet them there.
I have a cyq p38 ( by serial number it was made in dec 44). I used to keep it loaded for my night stand gun, but now it's too valuable for that use. So i went back to a tokarev. Tho if i have time, i'l grab my m1 carbine, and given a few minutes more, i'lll grab an ak...
Good to see your p1 has the cross bolt. i read that the frames were craking before they added the bolt.
still curious if the barrels are aluminum, with steel liners. I read that somewhere. I sold a niw p1 about 2 years ago to a customer. It was in the wrap, and since he ordered it , i left it that way for him, only confirmig the serial number for my records, and his form.
So i didn't get to go over it the way i would something i bought.
( I have an ffl, i don't keep inventory, just custom orders like the p1, etc..)

I don't think the barrel is aluminium because it is as heavy as the ones of my P38's.
I have tried once to get mags from the US but I couldn't get them shipped. I got lots of accessories from Liberty Tree Collectors but they don't ship mags, it's a pity!
