New, from Oklahoma

Post by OSUJACK »

Just joined, found this site after searching for more information regarding a Yugo rifle. See my initial posts there, I’m also wanting to purchase a nice example of a WW2 German Mauser, early production preferred (prior to 1942 or so). Yes I know, the prices are high, many fakes, all that...which is why I have been researching these guns for awhile now, hoping to make a good purchase, perhaps meet someone who has a nice collection and would like to downsize a bit and help a fellow milsurp rifle nut.

Welcome to the board.
To aid your quest look up
They travel buying collections and hitting gun shows all over the country.
They send out email s listing what's new before posting the leftover on their site.
Their stuff sells quick.
They also off a "wish list". Tell them what you are looking for and they will call if they find it.
I haven't bought from them myself but I do get the emails. Great pics and descriptions.
They have a good reputation or I wouldn't, mention them..

" this is an unpaid endorsement ". :)

And nothing wrong with wanting to stumble into a cheap one locally. :)

Lets us know more about your Yugo rifle, we are always glad to see what's out and about. I too have a couple of Yugo's, M48 and Mod 98, which can be seen in the Yugo section. One thing I've noticed about the 98K German rifles is that prices are all over the place. I've seen some sell for high numbers and some that are still sitting around without a bite on them and I can't seem to figure out why. The market seems to go up and down and I have found out that patience is key to getting what you want. Know what you're wanting to get out of it and plan to do with it and go from there.
I didn't know about empirearms, I will be checking this out now.
