Well, the board is either fixed, or it's going to run terribly. Cross your fingers and hope for the best. I'm at my technical limit right now.

picture doesn't show. a M1 Garand Disassembly Mat, Graphic Training Aid (GTA) 9-58, would be the one that lets you put the parts on the mat . size of the mat is appox 38" x28 ", parts may not fit exactly, the GTA is used for soldiers to identify parts by nomenclature

OK. now it comes come up. what you bought is a work bench rubber mat that has a diagram of a dissembled M1 Garand, to the smallest pin, with numbers of all the parts that corresponds to what the parts are . it was never meant to be a lay out mat where the parts fit on the drawing,

if you want a disassembly mat, where you can lay the parts out, you need the large U.S. Army lay out chart, the one I put in my previous post. it's printed on paper sometime vinyl, WW2 ones are printed on cloth

It was a joke, not meant to be a serious statement that I thought it'd be larger. Sorry, that doesn't come through with text very well. Thanks for your comments, however!

I thought a good come-back might have been: 'Obviously time to trade your Garand in for the infamous "Tanker" model'!
