Had one of those Ortgies back in the day. Paid $50 for it, sold it for $100. Wish I still had it....

OK, I have a question, why are Deutsch Werke firearms like that called "ortigies" never seen that before.. But I started looking and its all over the place.. Gee must have been asleep under a tree or something????

I call it that because it has the same lion emblem as the pistols on it.

So that Lion.. (which is Kick ass mind you) is called Ortigie??? I think I am still missing something..

I always heard the lion referred to as a Dormant Lion, which I thought was kinda foreboding, considering Germany just lost the war and another would be on the way in a few years...
