Can someone identify year and useage? Collectible or just a blank to be shot? Didn’t know if it might be a rifle grenade blank. Can those be fired safely without a grenade?
Well, the board is either fixed, or it's going to run terribly. Cross your fingers and hope for the best. I'm at my technical limit right now.

Am I correct the headstamp indicates Lake City manufacture in 1967?

Yes , Lake City, 1967. They are safe to fire just as a noise blank. If you want to launch grenades I would only use blanks from a sealed box that is clearly marked grenade blanks.

No desire to launch grenades just yet. LOL.
Do these older blanks have any value to collectors or should I just blast away? Any idea if they are corrosive?

Non-corrosive, and only in the original sealed box in good shape would a collector have any interest and value would be very little over shooting ammo.

It is a 1909 Saluting blank. Lake City made in '69. It can launch a rifle grenade, but only for a short distance, they are made for noise.
A grenade blank is much more powerful.
Your blank is safe in any .30-06 rifle with,or without a blank firing device.

Thanks for the input. I have a box of 19. Sounds like I’m going to be making some noise on the 4th of July!

Any idea if these would cycle, manually of course, from an enblock clip in an M1? Or would they require single feeding?
Re: 30-06 blank identification help please!
If you have the M1 Blank firing attachment, yes they will. Otherwise you will have to cycle the op-rod by hand.

Blanks for 30-06 are in demand by may VFW lodges as they have a hard time getting them for funerals they attend for those members that have passed on. I have donated hundreds of these to different lodges in the past. My supply is gone now and I know those I had went to a good cause.

That sounds like a very good use for these blanks. I’ll look into my local VFW. Thanks.
