PPSh M41 Sphagin from my collection

Post by M67 »

One of the best SMG from my small weapons collection.

All matching ww2 (1943) M41 in 7,62x25 Tokarev. The second drum is in the green canvas pouch which is Yugo post war production. All others accessories are from ww2. It is very simple and rough but effective with very high rate of fire.
It was one of the firearms in partisan weaponary and also in Yugoslav Army armament after ww2. The last official use was recorded during wars on Balkan from 1991-95.

Very cool! Full auto?

What is that 'Y' shaped piece with the spring loaded plunger? A loading device?

that is one very nice "TULA Samovary" :). next to the T34 tank that is a famous iconic weapon of the GREAT PATRIOTIC WAR, that the Russians dedicated it's own song. :)

OK this was awesome, I thought the WW II germans had some kick butt songs but this one had me running back and loading up my ppsh-41 (Semi :() and running out into the streets to stop the fascists..

not to start that big old cold war and missile gap again.. But we really need our own song for the Thompson now...

unlike the PPsH the Thompson didn't play that huge a role in arming US soldiers. a song about the Garand would be better suited to acknowledge it's place in US small arms
