Well, the board is either fixed, or it's going to run terribly. Cross your fingers and hope for the best. I'm at my technical limit right now.

Adding a little French flavor to the collection
After my recent frustration trying to acquire an M1D from another collector I decided it was time to step back from the Garand's and pickup something a little out of the ordinary. So when these Mas 49/56's came available I decided it was time to add one to my collection. This rifle is chambered in the French 7.5mm round, and is pictured with the sling, 2 spare magazines, night sight adaptor, cleaning
kit, tool kit, oil bottle, spare firing pin holder, bayonet with scabbard, rifle cover, and the standard optical sight, the APX L Model 1953 telescope with 3.85X magnification and scope case.-

Beautiful set up! The 49/56 is a great rifle, and does not get the appreciation it deserves, IMO.
How easy/difficult is it to adjust the sniper scope?? Curious what your opinion is of the quality of the scope--

Re: Adding a little French flavor to the collection
Just got it this past Friday, havent had a chance to take it to the range yet. My initial open is the scope is well built but the jury is still out on the attachment bands that hold the scope to the mount. just seems like it might not be the best way to maintain your zero, but only a trip to the range will tell.

The Scope system Mle 1953 for semi auto rifles Mas 49 & 49-56 was designed to be easily removed and safely stored in its carry case when not needed and to retain its zero .

Mr. Miller Tyme---Pls let us know your experiences with zeroing, etc your rifle and scope.
I'm sure we can learn from your first-hand experiences--

Re: Adding a little French flavor to the collection
My limited experience is that these rifles are over-gassed and throw the brass a long way towards 2:00. Mine in 7.5 does, at least. I lost my first case (couldn't find it) and had a friend hold a big piece of cardboard near the ejection port at an angle to have them drop closer to my feet for subsequent shots. Be prepared for this in case your rifle does the same and you want to save your brass.
