I saw this at a (LGS) local gun store and thought it was neat. Price Check? Bore looks good.

BTW the other side of the stock has the same kind of four holes. Any idea as the why and what for?

Thanks,
Kevin

The quick loaders held extra cartridges in the ready position for rapid fire matches. The holes in the forend...I have no clue. The rifle pictured is also a take down model.

$400-500 seems to be the going price on BSA Model 12s where I live. They are worth it.

Just paid $450 for mint model 12/15 w/ BSA rear sight & adjustable iris disk and was told by many (Northeast US) that I 'stole it'.

Those 4 holes in the forend are usually the position where biathlon rifles hold extra ammo, so they may be spares or sighters ... just a SWAG.

Looking at the holes closer on my home computer and they look like screw holes and too small to hold a 22LR cartridge. I also see some sheen/stain/patina on top of the barrel immediately preceeding the holes. I wonder if the previous owner had affixed some scope mount as a saddle attachment or such ... very odd, regardless!
