First off, I would like to thank everyone who has ordered Slack Springs. The great feed back has been tremendous. As many of you know there was a lot of work put into this spring. Much of the success I attribute to the forum members that helped with testing and suggestions through the development process. One of the question I had was, would there be enough sales to justify applying for a patent which is very expensive. I do have a copyright on my design and on all pictures of my spring including the ones on my web site. If sales continue I will probably apply for a patent. The problem I have is this. There is a company that is selling a spring almost exactly like my spring in looks only. They are definitely not of the same quality. The illegal part is they are using pictures of my spring as a advertisement. They started off selling my springs then I guess decided to have some made like mine to improve their profit. I am not at liberty to say who this company is at the moment because I am in the middle of taking legal action. I do know if that's what it takes to make a business succeed I would want no part of it. I know too many businesses that do it the old fashion way and earn it. I guess I just hate thieves. I thought this might happen. But not this soon and from the company that did it. Another problem to worry about is possible problems with these springs giving my company a bad name. If you buy a C & R Slack Spring it will come in a package with my company name and web site. If my company name and site is not in the package it is not a C & R Surplus Spring Slack Spring. Thanks again everyone

Hope you get it all taken care of...too many of these things go on, and damage the good guys so badly that we can never get the good stuff anymore. Good luck!

PM me so I don't do any business with them.

After everything is said and done be sure to post who the scumbags are so we can boycott their business. I don't care what they sell, if they are theives of that sort, I don't want what they sell at any price. If anyone else knows who they are pass the word about their practices on every forum out there to send a message.

Stand for something or fall for anything.

Just another testimonial,I bought and installed two of the genuine springs, and they work the nuts.I had one on a "sporterized" Mosin which came to me with a lightened and modified sear. I did have a nice light trigger, but LOTS of slack. This slack really didn't hurt anything, but it was sloppy, and it bothered me. The helper spring cured this adding hardly any weight to the pull...just right. Glad I bought them;I would have been bending wire for weeks to reach this result.
