Good advice. I think I'll follow it. But you raise a question for the uninformed. Do the triangular hand guards require the early rear retainer? Or do they work with a delta ring?

I've had very good luck with Del Ton. Decent prices and good customer service. How do you like that Primary Arms Micro Dot?

I'm really happy with it. I've kept it on since it was installed, about 16 months now, and it's still going. Haven't had to think about it at all--has kept its zero and works great.
