Well, the board is either fixed, or it's going to run terribly. Cross your fingers and hope for the best. I'm at my technical limit right now.

I just checked Brownells and they no longer have the SP1 profile barrels or the forward assitless uppers.
My luck, day late and dollar short?

Steve:

Del-Ton currently has A1 profile barrels in stock. I've used them on several builds. Accurate, and a decent price.

Brownell's DOES have M16A1 uppers (w/forward assist) currently in stock. Finding a non-A1 M16 upper without the forward assist will be tricky; they're scarce.

If you're serious, grab the Del-Ton barrel. They only make A1 barrel runs something like once a year and are usually out of stock for 6 months or more. Right now they're in stock. I'd move quick if you want an A1 profile barrel. Just my 2 cents worth, you'll probably have to get them piecemeal. Finding both the barrel and the upper in stock at the same time is a toss of the dice...

I built an A1, A2 and M4 clones. The A1 is by far my favorite. It also gets the most attention at the range.

My first attempt. It's heavy, but shoot like a dream.
