Well, the board is either fixed, or it's going to run terribly. Cross your fingers and hope for the best. I'm at my technical limit right now.

I still have mine, except for the barrel, receiver, and stock the rest of the parts are new USGI, bolt is a M2 round bolt. and wow it is super scary accurate, far more accurate then my WINCHESTER M1 I bought from the CMP back in the day

yeah, he is extremely proud of his, that is way, way overpriced for one.

Commercial made junk. Israel Arms International (IAI), Houston, Texas see http://www.m1carbinesinc.com/carbine_iai.html
It reminds me of the $200 Plainfields , Universals, and Alpines. All junk. Listed Price is beyond stupid. :o

Better off with this if you do not like a USGI carbine:
https://www.inland-mfg.com/Inland-Carbines/M1-1945.html
around $1200

Possible great find, NIB IAI for the 1 or 2 Commercial carbine collectors in the state. I know of only 2 in WI. Neither would pay that much, more like $600-700 I have been told. Who knows, gun show prices be crazy.  :shhh:

When IAI started making carbines, they made the receivers and then used surplus USGI parts. But like may other commercial carbines the surplus parts ran out and they had to make their own. Well like all the others before them the quality went down hill and the demand became very low. As sales were so slow they ended production. So some years later here comes the new Inland. What a sad piece of junk these are. The problems begin with them using Auto Ordnance parts and then using cast parts for many of their own. Seems some of the cast parts are undersized. A.O quality is somewhere between null and void and the New Inland right along with it. Oh and these Inland carbines are NOT made by the original Inland. As to how many IAI carbines were made? I would hazard a guess of between 5 and 6 thousand.

As for the amount, (12,750) see reference link:

I would rather have the BB carbine, https://www.pyramydair.com/s/m/Springfi ... /4662#9631, than junk.

Those prices are a joke for that new crap. You can still get a nice genuine US milsurp .30 Carbine for half that or less.

AGREED . Maybe a dedicated carbine collector would need EVERY platform that was built on the . carbine from the plainfields to the Johnson 5.7 conversions.to the Iver Johnsons,to the Erma .22 versions . as well as all the GI variations . When I had a small assortment of M1903's I had one of the Bannerman Franken guns . No real value, but I bought it any way
