Well, the board is either fixed, or it's going to run terribly. Cross your fingers and hope for the best. I'm at my technical limit right now.

M1 carbine 30 rounds magazine

#1 Post by M67 » Sun Nov 18, 2018 9:50 am

Today, I had the opportunity to buy more magazines for my M1 carbine. I have 15 rounds magazine, so I bought 30 rounds. The seller from Germany had more. I took it from a wrapped paper. I photographed him on the original WW2 US Army shirt because of the olive color.
I wonder what time period this magazine belongs to, because there are no markings on it?

Thanks for the answer!

I am not enough of an expert on those to even think I can say I know positively ..

Buuut, if the magazine is not Stamped it is not GI.. I do know that there was some European companies that made some for export in the 1970s and they were not marked.. But that is just one I know of, I sure there has been many m1 carbine mags made over the years..

Thanks for your educative answers. So, nothing official. I thought it was a military magazine because it was so nicely packed. It will be for plinking. My little carbine will be happy.

I am always amazed how when someone it making a reproduction like that, they just do not go all the way and do it all... they come close and that is
good enough..
