Looks as if the revivification of the old two-volume set is going to be complete, soon.
Sort of hope it's a "resurrection" rather than the release of a "zombie". Even with all the updates, the old duo was never quite what the original concept ws supposed to be.

These are from cloudfront, Barnes and Noble, and Amazon. Whether the links will work or not, I do not know. What I DO know is, the prices seem attractive, Simon and Schuster will apparently be the distributor, the hard copy is not yet out, but it seems as if it might actually get back to the original idea.
Apparently, the electronic versions are out, or at least for sale. Nosing around the Amazon site should yield more data, as will Barnes and Noble and some of the other literary/book sale sites.
Color use seems lavish, especially compared to the old Paladin two-volume set, which used no interior color at all. To me, this never mattered much on the shots of the firearms, but in the action photos, the color adds some interest.
Found a couple of small boo-boos. But heck...it looks very good.
Well, the board is either fixed, or it's going to run terribly. Cross your fingers and hope for the best. I'm at my technical limit right now.

Re: ESSENTIAL M1 GARAND
This photo got kind of in the wrong place.
I was always very pleased with myself for doing this and catching the particulars, using a foot switch on my motor drive film camera.
Hey! It was about 1985.
If there were digital still cameras around then at all, I didn't have one!!

It's notably on the S&S site, too.
You know, if I live to be 150 or so, this darned thing might ACTUALLY break even!!

Thanks. I will look into it. I prefer hard copies of books. I just can't get used to buying bits. I like something solid that works when the powers out and the batteries are dead.

Re: ESSENTIAL M1 GARAND
Added some shots. Found some errors, very small, which have been addressed.
It's interesting how different it looks. And it's 100 pages longer than the old 2-volume combination.
