To Sell, or not to Sell...

Post by echo1 »

Hi Fellas,

I HATE to sell my stuff.

That being said, I have some items that I could move, SKSs, a bunch of them. Do you guys think selling 2 @ $1K (Kali) would/could float?
I say this because of the 5 annual sales per year restriction, and I have enough duplicates to make some interesting combos, including a Paratrooper or two. I'd pick out 10 rifles, and the buyer(s) could choose any 2 assigned to each other, 5 choices think it'll fly? PAX

Are you suggesting $1,000 per rifle? Or am I misunderstanding your post?

I think he means two for $1000. But the question is what kind: Russian, Chinese, Yugos ??? And what condition by NRA standards? Like my Mosins he probably got them on sale many moons ago and is reducing the herd due to age, need for cash, or his wife wants stuff cleaned up and gone :shhh: :shhh:  Sometimes you just get tired of hearing, "why do you need 27 Mosins "?
Or you turn/trade Mosins into cash for repairs, more lead soldiers, more books.... SKS's are just a form of cash to barter off. I did not know there is a 5 rifle limit. :(

Now if it was two Ruskies in Century" Excellent" condition... someone would grab them in a heart beat

Dream on...

I guess the mods would have to say if it's 5 sales, or just 5 rifles no matter how they are sold- single or in groups. Most gun shows are closed so one can not dump them there. Of late people have been doing trades or sales at the ranges to associates :shhh:
And California is a crazy world I left 40 years ago, who knows what can be sold in that state or what will be banned or confiscated.
I remember Russian like new SKS rifles in the wrap with a tin of ammo for $100 at the Wi shows around 1999-2000. I should have stacked them as high as cord wood. I did not buy a one... :angry-banghead: :angry-banghead:

It would be 2 rifles for $1K (or more), $500 each if you prefer.

In Kali it's less than 6 sales per calendar year, with no more the 50 pieces sold total. Now I'm hearing that out of state sale don't count.

It would be something like 2 C&R Chinese SKSs as a pair, one nice one not matching, or a Paratrooper and a crappier Chinaman, or an Alby and a fugly Chinese. Two nice or unique rifles would command more. PAX
