James Jabara was my boss all of the time that I was at Luke AFB from 64 to first of 66...then I went to the Philippines and he was killed....not in a plane but in a little VW that his daughter was driving.

There is or at least was a street in family housing named after him on Kadena AB. When I was 10 to 13 (77-80), we lived at 5222A Jabara Ave on Kadena.

I use to live in LA and I remember seeing those little cars get the worst of it in more than one accident. One time I just came upon a VW that had got caught in between two big trucks and the VW was about two feet wide still standing upright by itself with a little smoke coming out of it. And there were bodies or a body in that two feet. I swore that I would never have a little vehicle and.... I never have had.
