I found out that if I left the handles square, I had better control.

By the way, these I made out of some 1 dollar scissors and filed in the teeth with little Swiss files. The metal is close enough. I made a bunch also out a 3/16th spring steel edge of an old mattress. A sneaky way to start with is rechecker some embossed checkering. They can look good right from your first try. And then brush in some varnish wash.

Here are some more and the way I did it. Make some and you will be on your way. I know about that long "To-do list', and I can't find that coin slot to buy some more time.'
