Got the Venezuelan out to the range yesterday and tested a couple of new loads.

It still shoots my go-to load (with the BA .287"/154 grain SPs) acceptably:

Just for fun, I went up 0.8 grains with that one. Still okay:

Most promising, however, since I don't altogether trust the BA bullets for hunting (see above), is the suggestion that I may be able to put together a workable load using those 175-grain RNSPs:

Shot this target today for the 50-yard "postal" match, using those fat 154-grainers from Buffalo Arms. Pleased with the result.
