Well, the board is either fixed, or it's going to run terribly. Cross your fingers and hope for the best. I'm at my technical limit right now.

Sounds of Silence

#1 Post by ffuries » Mon Sep 17, 2018 8:51 pm

As a kid I remember my dad playing Simon and Garfunkel and listening to the song Sounds of Silence, even back then the song stuck a chord with me. Whenever I heard the song I was transported back in time to my worldwide upbringing. Listening to the song in the back seat of my Dads Charger as we drove across Europe or the US.

So a few years ago I downloaded it to my phone, but I also found a version done by Disturbed. Their version is strong and powerful with a hard vocal range almost to the point of sounding eerie. So I downloaded both versions. With me getting a new phone I needed to redownload the song to my phone, well today as I was doing this I clicked on a wrong link and found this version.

Her name is Jadyn Rylee and this blonde hair, 11 year old Canadian cutie did her cover of the Disturbed version. She starts out a little unsure it seems, but gets her groove and wow, she sings it like she owns it.

So now I have 3 different artist renditions of the song on my phone now......

Click link to hear this girl sing Sounds of Silence you'll be amazed.

I like the Disturbed cover. 'Course Simon and Garfunkel are hard to beat, and their version was just one guitar and two voices. That's pretty impressive for such an iconic song.

If you can't kill it with a 30-06 you ain't in North America.
The first rule of intelligent tinkering is, "Save all the pieces."
It'll feel better when it quits hurtin'.

The Disturbed version is powerful, amazing how they transformed the song.
