Well, the board is either fixed, or it's going to run terribly. Cross your fingers and hope for the best. I'm at my technical limit right now.

Explain to your millennial aged kids why movies involving cheerleaders and stewardesses were banned in most communities when you were their age. And why no one smoked close to their dates for fear their heads would go up in flames.

My first car, a 34 Ford coupe...had two opposite missing fenders, 24 dollars, I had to borrow 12 dollars from my dad.
I am surprised " oldgunner" has not commented. He is one of the ancient ones.

I wonder if this forum has any actual WW II vets as members? My father in law is a WW II Navy boy on the USS Altimaha CEV 18 an escort carrier in the Pacific and still reads books on a computer so he can enlarge the print. Alive and ornery as hell if you cross him.
To old to fight and to old to run, a Jar head will just shoot and be done with you.

Explain to a millennial why married couples in the old movies and TV shows were always shown sleeping in twin beds. :naughty:

This one is on me. Every time someone on this forum mentions "magazines" I instantly think they're talking about Life and Time.

You remember that the tattooed lady was at Coney Island, not at the hardware store

Only pirates , gypsies and hair dressers wore earrings.

The paperboy collected on Friday

How about setting in the classroom in school, and the teacher passing out mimeographed papers? I remember the smell and if they were fresh enough, how warm they would be.

And the fact that everyone picked up their paper and smelled it. The smell was a mix of alcohol and something.

fluid was a mix of methanol and isopropyl alcohol. Guess we all missed the elementary school buzz. LOL We always got the handouts as class assignments or take homes for the parents. Those were generally notes about upcoming events or as reminders to vote yes for the upcoming school bond issues.

Glue came in a bottle with a rubber "teat" on the top. Had a pencil sharpener with a crank.

When attractive young women hold a door open for you. Then you growl at them and say "I am supposed to hold the door open for you". Yep, old and crabby.
