Well, the board is either fixed, or it's going to run terribly. Cross your fingers and hope for the best. I'm at my technical limit right now.

Picked up an ammo belt for my 1903
I bought this from a buddy a few hours ago. I paid $90, it came with 80 rounds of 73 dated Greek hxp in enbloc clips. Oddly, it looks like it has a 1983 date stamp.

Nice belt. You can clean the white corrosion off the metal with a stiff bristle brush. The date is most likely 1953 and if you don't have a Garand you can get a $1 each for the clips.

That is not an 03 Springfield belt. It is for an M1 Garand.
The 03 belts had a strap/snap to divide the pocket into 2 sections for the 5 rd Springfield stripper clips. Also none of these will be dated after WW 2.

I know it's not the exact one that was used with the 1903, but it will work for now. Once I get another m1 garand, I will use this for it and hunt down a proper one for the 03. Will 0000 steel wool work for cleaning the corrosion?

Yes, but the steel wool may take some of the black finish off that is on the brass as well.ghostdevilguy wrote: ↑Thu Jul 06, 2017 4:36 pmI know it's not the exact one that was used with the 1903, but it will work for now.
