Went to the range today (shout out to LCPfraTN, who's visiting from that state north of here). Shot this with the t53, using 150-grain Sierra PSPs and a full charge of IMR 7383. Temp was in the mid 90s; humidity about the same. Happy Independence Day, everybody.

Actually, just realized I need a ruling on this rifle: it's fitted with the adjustable target front sight from SmithSights. Excellent product, even if it gets me DQ'd.

The front sight is still within the acceptable limit. It is a post sight that is similar to the military sight.

On all of my sights I put a bit of white liquid paper. It lets me acquire the front post in the semi dark of the indoor range.

My second target. Been a while since I shot the K-31.I wish these rifles had been designed with peep sights .The weather is hot and humid.Any one that's ever been down south knows what I`m saying.

Manufactured in 1937, walnut. The rifle was refurbished in 1957. Thanks for looking.

Still having issues with low light level and keeping the sight picture. Even then I love shooting my Finn M39.

I definitely agree, after shooting your T-53, that the Smith Sights are helpful. Looks like I'll be spending some more money due to your influence. It's still cool if I blame you when the wife finds out isn't it?

That's fine, LCP. You're in rolling-pin range; I'm not.

I put 60 rounds down range tonight with my 1903-A3. Concentrated on two things, locating the point of aim and intersection with the point of impact. My 1903 shoots 2 inches low at 50 yards.

Secondly, I concentrated on reducing the tension in my support arm and firing hand. The groups were much better. Shooting consistent 5 inch groups. I need to get my sling adjusted better.

My record target for the 1903 showed the improvement.
