Well, the board is either fixed, or it's going to run terribly. Cross your fingers and hope for the best. I'm at my technical limit right now.

Any of you got any personal experience with any of these 3 7.62x39 hunting rounds? PPU pointed 123 grain SP, Federal Powershock 123 grain SP, and Federal Fusion 123 grain SP. What kind of results did you have with it. Did it expand properly and consistently. Did they have good penetration? How was the grouping? Did the deer die quickly? That kind of stuff.

There are some nice deer pictured in this thread. Good work, y'all.

Season hasn't started yet here in Alabama. But I'll be hunting this year with Barnes 120-grain TSX out of my Swede sporter--as soon as I get some loaded. Wish me luck with that project!

Main portion of the rifle part of deer season ends today, here in Missouri. I didn't make it out today cause forecast was for storms and I have a long enough drive down to the place I hunt that it wouldn't be worth going for just a few hours. Weather turned out better than forecast though so I'm sad I didn't go. I went for 7 days though, each time getting there just a bit after sunrise, and leaving after sunset, but unfortunately it didn't work out for me. I saw a few deer on 2, maybe 3 days (1 day I think I just could make out the tail, not the rest of the deer in the distance as it scurried away when I got there), but each time they saw me first in the jumble of trees and brush and ran off before I could do anything. I still have 1 day I'm free to go during the antlerless portion but things are not looking promising that anything will come of it, seeing how I've not seen a single one of them on 4 of 7 days so far. Holding out hope though. Maybe I will still find out how that ammo performs on them. Anyone else have more luck?

Not taken with a milsurp but I did use a vintage caliber: .250 Savage chambered Remington 700.
