Was not aware of this ammo before, but unreal devastating rounds. Does show the brutality of the Eastern Front.

I have never seen these at show s? Soviet WW II explosive round had a red tip or red band on the case. fugasnij 7.62x54R

The idea behind this was to detonate when the bullet struck a target/soldier? I would have thought the strike of the bullet would have been sufficient for disabling or killing the target. Any feedback on the performance of these rounds?
