Czech 8mm, 180 grain

Post by KySwiss »

Where can I find information on this particular ammo? I find a lot from 1963 and bought 150 rounds. It looks like steel washed copper, or whatever they call it. Same color as the Russian 7.62x54R.

What is the headstamp.. can you post a picture? A lot of copper wash steel case Bulgarian 8mm (Factory 10 shows on the headstamp) has been called “Czech” lately. It has many hang fires, miss fires depending on how HARD your rifle hits.

ammolab, working on how to upload pics now, however, I believe you to be correct. The headstamp has a '10', '83', and a triangle on it. All 20 rounds I shot were hang fires. Not that bad, barely noticable, but still could tell. Actually, I believe the '83' is '63'.
