If you use them don't dive then at top velocity or close to factory. They seem strip coming out the rifle. Had them key hole on the target at 25 yards. Its not a true jacket, just a plating and the thinner the plating the worse the performance. Try them about 1600 fps. I have tried them in SKS and a new Type 56 AK.

I have shot the .308 110 grain plated bullets in a .30 Carbine with decent results, no tumbling noted with a standard jacketed bullet load of H-110. Accuracy was about as expected from the Carbine, and no evidence of stripping the rifling or tumbling, even though this load most likely exceeded the recommended velocity for these bullets.

I Have tried these and they worked out of my Zastava M85 Mini-Mauser. I loaded them with 20.1 grains of AA1680 and shot 10 for function and to see if I got excessive copper fouling. Velocity was listed as 1900 FPS. Fouling was not an issue but I don't remember if the accuracy was particularly good or not. I used the Hornady 9th edition reloading manual for this data.

For the price I bought cases of -39mm, I surely don’t need to reload for that caliber. Luckily Golden Tiger & Brown Bear print the best for bulk ammo and PMC jacketed SP is MOA out of my LH mini-Mauser, and 1.5 MOA out of the -39mm AR upper (w/ adj gas block). Of the others, the Norinco SKS is the best (most accurate) of the milsurps.

But many friends have good luck w/ Berry’s plated bullets!
