Hi all,

I picked up a Mauser HSC the other day. It it a war time commercial serial number 927276. It has some holster wear but other wise nice. Its a 32 caliber. Came with 2 mags. I took it out and shot a clip through it. It had feed problems. 2 rounds instead of goin into the chamber went high jamming the pistol. Had to rack the slide back to clear them. Reading the forums it looks like mag problems. I check my mags out and both have cracks on the rear lips so I'll be looking for a new mag. Anyone know of a good aftermarket mag that works with these? I have checked the pistol over before firing. Doesn't appear to be shot much and the recoil spring looked great. I plan to replace it just in case. I don't plan to shoot this much but like to have it in working order for home defence though not my primary home defence weapon. I have a shotgun and a 1911a1 for that.

I had a wartime PP and never had a FTF with it. It's mags were alittle more stout. Not sure which one I like more. Both are neet pistols. I could hit with the PP. This HSC me or my friend couldn't hit anything with it. I haven't shot in while so might be my fault. I'll try again after I find a good mag and install a Wolf springs.

How old do you all think it is? Late 43 early 44? Has wood stocks, two line address and not high polished blue. I may put a pic up later. Have to go to a friends to do that. Internet is too slow here.
Thanks,
Michael
