Well, the board is either fixed, or it's going to run terribly. Cross your fingers and hope for the best. I'm at my technical limit right now.
Stuck Case
Stuck Case
I've got a fired case stuck in my Dutch Mannlicher, The extractor tore the head clean off. Any suggestions on how to remove it?
Re: Stuck Case
This is common due to the 6.5 Chambers being larger than the sizing die. The case separates just forward of the base.
I fire form all my cases with Unique and corn meal. Then neck size only.
To get your stuck case out, thread in a FINE toothed tap to fit the Body of the stuck case. Once you the tap biting into the brass casing, tap it out of the bore wit ha steel cleaning rod.
I have done this more times than I could count over the decades.

Re: Stuck Case
Force a bronze bore brush of a suitable size into the rear of the stuck case. DO NOT TURN it just push. Now smack the "T handle" of the cleaning rod sticking out a couple of times.
Re: Stuck Case
Thanks for the suggestions. I tried the brass brush approach first, and the case slid right out. That's a relief.

Re: Stuck Case
I wonder if a 6.5 mm arisaka broken shell extractor would work on that cartridge?
