Last weekend I have started to clean up the pistols of my last purchase. As I was so lucky to find one I have started
with the Rijks Veldwacht (Royal Field Guard) Pistol. In total only 1500 pistols were produced. I have found one of
the main contract, with 1300 pistols produced, stamped with the year of the contract 1931 next to the number of the gun.

As I now had the time to closely check the pistol I have realised, although I had the suspicion from the beginning,
that the grips are not original anymore. I have to verify still but I think the grips are post-war. The lanyard ring
on the left side of the pistol is unfortunately gone. I will try to get some correct grips for it in the future.
The pistol is in quite good condition, all numbers match and all markings are where they should be and are correct.
When I have taken the picture of the back of the pistol I have seen that I have forgotten to remove the little rust
pitting that is there  but it looks worse on the picture than in reality. These close-ups are really both a blessing
and a curse.
The barrel is ok, bright and shiny with some dark spots. I will see if I can clean it better. The mag should be numbered
to the gun but the original mag obviously got lost. Mine doesn't have any number. Caliber is what we call 9mm kurz or
.380 Auto (which adds another caliber to my collection).
All in all I am very happy to have such a rare variation of an FN1910/22 in my collection. When I have read about them in the book of Anthony Vanderlinden I wopuld have never thought that I would be able to find one (there were only a few numbers reported and mine was not amongst them). :D

Very nice addition to your collection. :thumb: I have a nazi marked FN1910/22 with holster in my collection, but not as rare as your model. Did you get a holster with your FN?

unfortunately, no Holster :(
But I am always looking around to find matching Holsters. Problem is that these darn Holsters are getting really expensive.

I picked up a 1910/22 that was nazi marked not to long ago. It wasn't as clean as yours. The guy at the shop did not realize it was nazi marked and had it priced at $189. I was able to talk him down to $140. I ended up treadimg it to a friend for a nice VZ24. Or was it a Yugo 24/47?

Thank you guys for your nice comments :D

Are the 1910/22 Pistols easy to find in the US? I have heard that the 1910 falls under some sort of regulation in the US (based on its size?) but what about the 1910/22?

Not sure of any regulations on the 1910. Some cities and states have regulations on owning or having any type of handgun. Maybe someone else can help answer your question. As for there being large numbers of Model 1922's, they are present, but shows that have alot of military type firearms would be the place to look for them. They are getting pricey like everything else, maybe $350.00 and up for the better examples and if it has a holster you can add a $100.00 or so on top of the pistol asking price. Just like any collectible firearm matching numbers, and condition make a big difference in the price. :thumb: I picked up a nice example at a Ohio Gun Collectors show a few years back and it came with a nice holster $400.00 for both.

I see them occasionally for sale at gun shows generally in the $300 range. Those are usually in .32 caliber. Very rarely do they come with an extra mag or holster.

Nice 1922 -- I have one in .32 caliber - Marked "Bahnpolizei US Zone" I assume it was issued to Railroad Police after the war. It's always been a fun gun to shoot.

If FN made the 1910 pistol today it would not be allowed into the U.S. because it would be considered too small under the import "point system". This point system is why Walther had to remake the PPK into a PPK/s so the PPK/s would be large enough under the point system and could be imported into the States.
