Well, the board is either fixed, or it's going to run terribly. Cross your fingers and hope for the best. I'm at my technical limit right now.

SAD NEWS

#1 Post by ArkSlim » Wed Jan 08, 2020 7:43 am

Was looking around on another site when I ran across the not so new news about the upsetting happenings in New Zealand. It appears that in less than a year their goverment passed and imposed removal of all but a few firearms from the citizens of that country. This happened after the Christchurch shooting early 2019. The article I read stated that the scum-bag shooter had stated in a letter he legt that his intention was to accomplish the gov, removal of guns from the population. Sort of looks as if the fox is in charge of the hen house! The person that wrote the article stated that this was easy for the gov. to do because they already had everyone's guns registered.Sound like anything that is being proposed in this country. Could not believe what I read but guess I may be over suspect of our goverment.

It is upsetting. But would be much tougher in the US, as we're the ONLY country that has it built into our Constitution. Also there's something like 3.2 fire arms per person here. PAX

Friends, the Second Amendment, and in fact the entire Constitution, means only what 5 of the nine judges on the Supreme Court say it means. We do not have to speculate what WILL happen if any of the "loyal opposition" candidates appoint judges!

This is true...but what about enforcement? I'm in Kali and the regs suck. I'm also in rural ag country, and MOST LOE won't randomly enforce many non compliance activities. In the gang banger controlled and metro areas it's a different tune. At the range, no one asks you for your AW card. PAX

echo1, i do feel your pain. After a career in law enforcement and the military, I do believe the majority of soldiers/LEOs will do what they are told to do, regarding gun control laws. They may feel conflicted, but will think of the families they have to provide for and what other career field they must now find. All it will take is passage of laws making ownership of firearms a felony--then they are just enforcing the law, right??

I know many will say this won't happen--there will be a revolution! When is the last time you saw middle-aged males riot/massively defy authority?? Seems to me it was 1776. I hope I am not being a grumpy old "boomer", but that is how I see it--reminds me of the far-left celebs who were leaving the country after Bush#2 and Trump were elected! Wish they had--they are still here.

Here in AZ we have a great firearms civil rights group--the Arizona Citizens Defense League. They are super involved in fighting for our rights, and were responsible for us getting constitutional carry. If every state had such an active group, we would be much better off--the NRA can not do it alone. Rant over--

Hope it does not come to that BUT I do not feel the lib-tards that are anti gun will stop trying to take our weapons away. It is going to be very telling as to what actually plays out in Virginia. Looks like we will not have long to wait.

ArkSlim, I read your post around when you posted it. I didn't have anything to offer other than good hopes.
I felt confident and secure in my rights here stateside and in Florida.
My old state of Virginia is going anti-gun bigtime. Correction the Democrats who took over have gone insane after years of mouthing support for the Second Amendment only wanting "only moderate , reasonable restrictions". They have the power, see their chance and are trying to take it all in one go.
100 Virginia counties have declared themselves 2 Amendment sanctuaries, law enforcement included. The have declared they will not recognize nor enforce any ant gun laws passed by the state.
The governor there, a blackface , klu klux klan robbed asshat has vowed to use the national guard to enforce his will and seize guns.
They are headed for a showdown on monday, "Loby day" in Virginia where gun owners march once a year.

And back to me here in Florida. I only just found out some of my own state senators are working to pass restrictions on firearms. And their use.
It will be tougher to pass here than in Virginia as my governor is 100% 2A.
But it was a shock reading that it was happening here as well

What is happening in Virginia is a repeat of what has happened in New Zealand. The Prime Minister is a hard nosed socialist who was anti- gun to start with. She used the shooting there to ramrod the new law into being. The courts there are useless to stop her agenda. The buy back program is in full swing and it's not just the likes of AR's or AK's. It's any semi auto is now forbidden, even .22 autos. Now that this is well underway she has now said she wants a total ban on all firearms in New Zealand. It doesn't end with the socialist. They have a world wide agenda to ban firearms everywhere. Next stop is Canada with their PM who just barely got in calling to ban all of the so called assault rifles. The liberals are in control of Parliament and will work with him and the few social members of his party to try and do this. The US now has four outright socialist's in the house and two and maybe a half running for the Democratic nomination. So their agenda is here now and they are trying to get things started to finally do away with the 2nd Amendment.
