Well, the board is either fixed, or it's going to run terribly. Cross your fingers and hope for the best. I'm at my technical limit right now.

Hope someone can help
Looking for a butt plate for a Winchester 1911 Shot gun
Numerich do not have a listing for them.
Unique gun, you cock it by pulling the barrel back.

Is it possible this part is interchangeable with another model

Cheers
Juergen

I would like to ask some questions about gun parts down in your wonderful country..

Like in the part in question, is there not online sites down there that supply parts.??

Or to get parts you have to hit the gun show trail till the part shows up???

How the heck did you guys get that Winchester 1911 down there, where they common down there??

So how do you get so many guns in need of parts, Is it that you like purchasing guns in need of TLC and working on them??

Or does this speak about the condition of second hand guns that are for sale down there????

There are internet sites which you can buy parts for guns new or old but you find that they mainly have the more common brands models although you do get lucky sometimes.
There are dealers that specifically trade in old guns/parts that frequent gun shows and thats where I get most of mine.
The market is not huge like in the States so the variety is not great, so thats why from time to time we need to spread out our search.
The Winchester 1911 I have never seen before in Oz and this was picked up from a Dealer at a show by my mate.

Generally the condition of collectibles is good (very expensive) but every once in a while I like a project so I would find one that needs a little
love and affection. Not only do I get the pleasure of resurrecting one from the scrap heap, I also get to enjoy the research that goes with it.
I can't save them all but I try. Its a hobby after all

Many thanks Vandle.. hey keep your eye out for any more of those Winchester 1911s, I would love to know how those got down there..

I would like to think there was a time when if someone down there said I would like one of those guns, Someone over here could just drop them in a box for you...>??

Hey I had heard that you guys down there do have a number of the Boer War mausers and Enfields down there.. Is that true.. Do you see a bunch down there???

In the good old days I would assume that there would have been a few imported by Winchester into Australia, would be interesting to find out.

I have seen a few Boer 93 Mausers for sale recently and not going for stupid money.
Most interesting is the woodwork and the markings from the original owner
