Well, the board is either fixed, or it's going to run terribly. Cross your fingers and hope for the best. I'm at my technical limit right now.

CMP article in FMG magazine

The new special issue of Guns magazine FMG, SURPLUS: vintage & classic firearms , 2019, Volume 82 is out on the mag racks and has an interesting write up by Frank Jardim, Arms of the Free World; CMP M1911s and Garands you can own, pp. 50-55 . It's about the costs and problems encountered in the Philippines in attempting to secure the M1s and the hoops one has to jump through to get a 1911 auto. Worth a read. There is also this CMP video most have seen:

Also there is an interesting review, also by Frank, pp. 60-63; of the 9mm German made, American Tactical, MP 40 reproduction machine pistol.

This is a good issue with some interesting articles.

American Tactical MP 40

The 9mm has its problems, but sounds better than the Umarex Legends MP40 BB Submachine Pistol at $200. A problematic BB shooter, one can see the many reviews at Pyramid Air or Airgun Depot. Here is a company review: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I1F8wutcBN8

I am not sure if some of the frame/ body parts of each reproduction actually interchange---- they do not with a real MP 40. see
https://www.airgundepot.com/umarex-lege ... e-gun.html

So on top of the MP 40 9 mm real firearm price, you need a quality reproduction sling and an Atlantic Wall trigger bar and barrel nut kit see ( http://www.atlanticwallblanks.com/GSG-M ... p_516.html ), and a replacement spring for the mag button as well as a few more $50 magazines for the Machine pistol. A big concern is loss of the cocking/charging handle due to a weak spring. This part seems unavailable and company response is poor. The warranty seems not worth the paper it's written on. :naughty:

This great info is done by Jake's Custom Gun Parts and I thank them for the informative videos:
