Well, the board is either fixed, or it's going to run terribly. Cross your fingers and hope for the best. I'm at my technical limit right now.

Does anyone know anyone or has anyone themselves won any of the firearms given away in the numerous on-line drawings? (whew.. Does that even make sense?) Just wondering...

I haven't won one, and don't know anyone that has. Oh and yes what you said makes perfect sense. I always wonder if the "Giveaways" are real or just a marketing ploy to generate business. But I keep entering them regardless, just in case the stars line up and I get lucky.
If it's something I don't want I can sell it and get something I do want.

I stopped entering all those contests (NRA one too). I have enough stuff to waste time on without wasting it on the "Publishers Clearing House Contest of Guns"

I usually buy a couple of chances for things like the VFW, or DAV raffles at gun shows.
Never ever won diddly, but its for a good cause so I don't mind.

Yep. I too have thought the same.
Let's hear it for Dave in Iowa... This guy always seems to win them.

Re: Online giveaway rifles
We've got a local guy who wins at least 3-5 guns a year at NRA and other drawings. He confided his strategy is to buy at least $200 worth of tickets and he bends each one before placing in the box so it won't lay flat against another.
Re: Online giveaway rifles
I have not won any mail ins but over the years I have won 3 firearms at our gun club
Re: Online giveaway rifles
I entered one that was sponsored by one of the auction sites. Started getting all sorts of spam from various "gun" lists that I never (intentionally at least) signed up for. Not doing it again. Oh, and I didn't win anything either.

I've heard of and seen pictures of winners, but I have never personally met or heard of anyone who has met one!

Never won anything, but still enter some of the contests. Those "new style" contests with all of the social media crap I tend to avoid.
