Darn good question... Hector..

I am leaning I-70 to St Louis, and 44 to Tulsa.... But the world is my oyster, and I do not mind making some side trips for greatness

I don't know of any mil-surp shops on that route but this is in Springfield, MO which is on I-44. http://www.nramuseum.com/museums/nation ... useum.aspx

If I were going through Sprinfield it would definitely warrant a stop.

I used to live in Springfield and Joplin, Mo. There used to be a few shops in Springfield that regularly carried mil-surps, but I haven't been there for a while so I don't know if any are still in business or what they may carry now. In Joplin, just a bit off the Interstate, is Steve's Trading Post. He sometimes has milsurps, the inventory varies. I used to work there myself, and even if he doesn't have many milsurps, it'll only be a couple minutes out of your way, and browsing the shop is well worth the time spent there. Take exit 6 north about 1/2 mile, and the shop is on the left. Website is http://stevestradingpost.com/
