Well, the board is either fixed, or it's going to run terribly. Cross your fingers and hope for the best. I'm at my technical limit right now.

CMP M1 Garand

#1 Post by Kbaumgartner » Mon Oct 09, 2017 1:46 pm

Just seen that the cmp had Service grade m1 garands for sale at a price of $730 is it worth it at that price? Here's a link http://thecmp.org/cmp_sales/rifle_sales/m1-garand/

You can't go wrong at that price delivered. If there is something you don't like about the rifle you can always get your money back on resale.

CMP is the best deal going on Garands. Its alot of paperwork to deal with but once you wade through that they are professional and great people to deal with.
Years ago I hemmed a hawed(fence sat) forever thinking about getting a M-1 Carbine from them and they sold out before I could jump off the fence.

After that I bought a Garand from them (Service Grade) and was very pleased with it,

Best deal around. I've bought several. Never been disappointed.

It's a little heavy, but the Garand makes a fine utility and SHTF rifle too.

Definitely worth the price. I picked up one of their service grades - it had the new CMP wood on it but the rifle looks like it just came off the production line. Shoots well too but the sight is rather high at zero.
