Colt 1911 NM .38 special Mid Range

Earlier this year I glommed a S&W model 52-2...

Yes, a $1000 plus toy and fantastic pistol. I got to play with $200 Tokarevs at least I can find ammo. It seems all the 38 special is gone from the shelves.
To old to fight and to old to run, a Jar head will just shoot and be done with you.

I've got some .38 wad cutter squirreled away that should see me through for a while.

But with two .38 wad cutter only pistols, it won't last long.

I have a BOMAR BAR-STO Colt that I used in competition for many years. I have custom dies for reloading the wad cutters so they feed properly.

Which model did you buy? Is it a straight blow-back smooth barrel or is does it still have locking lugs on the barrel?

I've heard a lot of good things about the Bar-Sto and Gil Hebard guns.

I'm not positive, but think it is the blow back model.
