Well, the board is either fixed, or it's going to run terribly. Cross your fingers and hope for the best. I'm at my technical limit right now.

russian tt33 find.....maybe

#1 Post by Kling1022 » Sat Oct 21, 2017 10:51 pm

PIcked up a real russian tokarev that I hope is a legit example. 1936 all matching. Ive completely disassembled and every piece is matching and has a tula star. Came with 2 mags that are both numbers matching and a holster. Not too sure about the holster being original. i can't find a date anywhere on it but it is beat up. Finish looks worn in places. Bore is absolutely mint

Not a tok holster. This is what a black Russian navy Tok holster looks like. Ebay photos. That is a $800-1000 pistol especially with matching 2 magazines. Must not have seen too much action. Its rare to find one with a matching mag , almost impossible for two. :snooty:     Great find, you are one lucky man, now get a correct holster do a search "Russian Tokarev holsters".

You might want to order or read this new update 2016 reprint of the 1991 hardcover:
Your holster kind of reminds me of a German model 37 holster, browing 1922 or other odd german hi power holster??? Not sure what it is?

After doing some research the holster appears to be a 1944 Nazi hi power holster marked hlv. I guess that's an added bonus

Now all you need is a Nazi Hi Power to fill the holster, and the correct holster for your Russian TT33.

Thanks for reposting the pics. When I was in Mo, Cape Girardeau, Perryville, and East Prairie back in the early 1980s -SEMO archaeologist -I never found a pawn shop that nice in MO. I did find a hot looking student that I married. Best gal ever. Those thin Mo. girls are lookers  Looks like Mo. has great gals and pistols.....
However, I think you used up all of this years luck. That navy Holster is offered on eBay at 60. Really nice for a pistol of that quality.

I swear I can't make this stuff up. I walked into the lgs down the street and they had a VERY late war hi power. And I mean late. Serial numbers stopped at 61800 and this one is 61041. Talk about last ditch. A perfect date match for my holster though
