Question: I obviously get the mechanics behind a recoil-opperated rifle, but why would a "Luger rifle" need lubed cases?
Also, I know I've just said the "what ifs" are numerous, but lets just say that the entire German military had adobted this rifle in WWI/WWII/Whatever; would that really have made a difference to the outcome?
Likewise, if the US were armed with, hell, I dunno... Krag rifles in WWII, and we were armed with the... Lee Metford, would that really have meant we'd of lost? The Germans, and her allies didn't loose just because the US were armed with a self-loading rifle
