Well, the board is either fixed, or it's going to run terribly. Cross your fingers and hope for the best. I'm at my technical limit right now.

Rohm RG38 question.

#1 Post by Airforce1 » Mon May 04, 2020 5:21 am

I have a rusted hulk of a revolver and am wondering if anyone knows how to get the cylinder disassembled? I need to take the ejecting rod and ejector out so I can clean it.

Thanks.

Opps, I thought you needed it out of the frame. OK, I see the problem- no data, you want the center ejector & shaft out. I checked my Gun Digest, Revolvers part 2, 2nd ed. 2000 by Wood, Firearms assembly/disassembly and it only has the RG 14. No info on the RG 38 seems to be in any of my books or on line. Sorry I can not help. I do not own a RG38 and am unfamiliar with it. It appears somewhat similar to the Ruger security six??

That is in the book on page 427 and shows the disassembly of the center pin . check this out, maybe it will be similar: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=930tBnUA8Rs

He shows a Ruger Security Six cylinder shaft removal, I am not sure how close each revolver is. Maybe someone has one, although they are kind of on the low end. Lots of luck on this one. It will make a good how to do video when you figure it out.
RWS may be able to help, he really knows pistols. Maybe PM him.

Interesting no reply and even the original instruction sheet offers no clues:
