Well, the board is either fixed, or it's going to run terribly. Cross your fingers and hope for the best. I'm at my technical limit right now.

Pawn Shop find 1917 DWM Luger

#1 Post by BPSTEVE » Tue Jan 07, 2020 4:38 pm

Just acquired this DWM Luger with a Gustav Reinhardt holster. The holster is in very good condition but top flap stitching came undone, there is no leather damage so should be easy fix. The grips are not numbered, but fit well and appear to be on gun for awhile. I have read that not all grips were numbered at the factory. All other numbers match with a bright bore. I think I did well for 1050 OTD from local pawn shop.

Very nice. Way better condition than my DWM 1914 mixmaster.
A couple of leather needles and a spool of waxed cotton thread will take care of the holster.

While searching how to repair my holster came across a Jerry Burney who specializes in Luger holster repair. $45 dollars and less than a week I got her back. Couldn’t be happier and a real easy guy to deal with.

Very nice work. If I hadn't seen your post I wouldn't have know it was repaired. I will keep Jerry in mind if I ever have need of a holster repair.
