I have to admit, I've been out if the game living on the dark side over at ar15.com ever since I joined the Army and got out. However, I still have a soft spot in my heart for milsurplus rifles when I can find them for a good deal.

I've owned my share of German/Yugo Mauser, but recently found a Turk Mauser that the guy is willing to sell me for $150 to include 100 rounds of ppu and 100 rounds of surplus ammo.

The receiver is marked K. kale 1945. Overall, looks like in good condition for a Turk Mauser. Anything particular I need to look at when I go get it?

what are you waiting for? That's the cost of the ammo alone.

I'm definitely going for it. Have to wait until Wednesday to get it due to work constraints. Only number that doesn't match is the bolt, but not huge deal.

Dont let that stop you. As racepres said matching numbered bolt is almost unheard of.

Definitely not letting the fact that the bolt doesn't match stop me from getting it.

Looking forward to adding a 8MM back into the collection

Got it today, overall I'm pleased with it. Has a crack in the top handguard by rear sight but it has a previous repair that was done to it. Will have to post some pictures of it as soon as I get a chance so I can get candyman to give suggestions.

I got the rifle and 186 rounds of ammunition (98 being new production PPU and the other 88 being very clean looking surplus with what I think is a Arabic headstamp.

Will give the bore a good cleaning and check headspace before firing tomorrow
