Cold Weather Shootin

Post by Vandervecken »

I bundled up warmly and hit the range +12 degrees , with my 49/56. Low wind and not bad... I fired off 2 mags of my handloads and it scored as well as it does in "warmer" weather. It does 2/12-3 inches at 100 yds. AND then another guy came onto the range and he had a M1a. When he looked over at my rifle he said " what the hell is that". I told him its a French M14....Hoot! I guess ya had to be there cuz his reaction WAS funny.

I had a similar experience with my Hakim rifle. She does rather well below freezing. Must be the Swedish design and direct gas impingment action!
